Turfgrass Irrigation Pumping Stations

Helping you put water ...where you want it...when you want it!

Whether you need a fully assembled skid mounted pumping station, ready for site install, or upgrading renovations to your existing pump station, we can help!

With over 30 years of experience in water pumping applications, we can provide you with design engineering, pump selection, mechanical specifications and fully automatic pump controller assemblies. All products used in our pump packages are industry proven for quality. Brand names like U.S. Electric, Franklin Electric, Goulds, Singer, Keystone and Apco are used for pumps & mechanical, and Toshiba, Eaton Cutler Hammer, Benshaw, Omron, Wika, Wieland, and Hoffman are used for the electrical. This provides you with the peace of mind knowing the station is made with dependable, reliable components that give you years of trouble free service, and allows us the confidence to provide full warranty for 18 months on the entire pump station package.

Manufactured, skid mounted pump stations; pre-tested and ready for installation.

Existing pump station renovations. New pump installations and adjustable speed control upgrades.

5 points that must be considered for any pumping application to be successful:
What do I require?
The first question that must be addressed is the volume in gallons per minute (GPM) and total head (PSI) required for your application. This is the "design point" that the pump station must satisfy. A properly selected pump model and corresponding performance curve will produce the desired results.

1.  The distribution piping (size & length) will determine the pressure required at the pump discharge vs. the pressure required at the point of delivery. The calcualtions that must be performed to arrive at the design point will factor in elevations, distance, pipe diameters, suction lift, submergence and hydraulics.

2.  Which pump(s) should I use?
After carefully calculating the design point, pump selection must be done. Many factors will influence the selection such as wet well (size and depth), suction, lift, electric power available, pump efficiency and control method to be applied.

3.  What method of control should I choose?
There as many pump control methods in use as there are pump models. To simplify, we can break them down into three types of control- full speed operation, soft start control, and adjustable speed drive control.

Adjustable Speed Drive (ASD) control:
This method will have the highest initial cost however it provides the most benefits in pump control operation. It provides true discharge pressure control throughout all station flow rates, greatly extends pump and motor life, elimination of water hammer, elimination of startup control & pressure regulating valves , and provides significant energy savings.

Soft Start control:
This method also eliminates water hammer and startup control valves but will require some form of pressure regulation. It is best suited to applications with fixed flow rates.

Full Speed Operation:
Using full voltage motor starters, this control should only be applied where the flow rates will always be the same when the pump is running. Mechanical valves for startup control, pressure regulation and large capacity bladder tanks are also required.

4.  Warranty and after sale service!
A little research into pump station suppliers / manufacturers will be time well spent. As a single source pump "package" manufacturer we provide exceptional service complete with an 18 month warranty covering the station as a whole.
